The Grasshopper – A Mindbody Movement

Benefits

The Grasshopper movement is beneficial for improving digestion and relieving stress. It helps with conditions like acne, constipation, cramps, hair loss, and liver issues.

The Movement:

  1. Stand in a comfortable position as you raise up on your toes and then allow your energy to fallback to the earth–with a little jarring motion of energy. This can be done softly or with more energy. Be aware of your physical capacity for this movement.
  2. Inhale deeply, lifting up on your toes.
  3. Exhale as you allow the body to drop back down to the floor [allowing the body to do the amount that is comfortable–according to what issue is up].
  4. Repeat as you breathe. And allowing the hands and hands to move as needed.
  5. If it causes lung issues, then do gentle Inspiration and slow it down, moving the arms out to the side if you want. This allows the lungs to catch up.
